What is VHC ?
VHC stands for Vriendschapsband Haarlemmermeer Cebu which means, Haarlemmermeer Cebu Friendship Foundation, it is the organization that shapes the friendship between Haarlemmermeer and Cebu in the Philippines. VHC was established by the municipality of Haarlemmermeer to implement the friendship between Haarlemmermeer and Cebu in the Philippines. VHC has been active since 1992 and has enjoyed the support of many volunteers over the years and supported a lot of projects in Cebu including ERUF, Caps-R, Children of Asia, Forge, Jagobiao, JPIC, Micro credit, Shoeperheroes and smile.
Light Of Hope PH meets VHC
In Nov 2019 Light Of Hope PH team was able to meet and present the solar night lamps in a bottle project to VHC Board of Directors, through the help of VHC Cebu representative, Cebu City Councilor Alvin M. Dizon. The organization have supported the solar night lamps project for the Brgy Hipodromo and Brgy Pulangbato family beneficiaries, and in Nov 2020 VHC also supported the pilot project of the Cloudgrid units for the Brgy. Pit-os family beneficiaries. Light of Hope PH is very thankful to VHC through Councilor Alvin M. Dizon for supporting the Light Of Hope PH advocacy in uplifting the lives of the less privileged off-the-grid communities and helping to mitigate climate change for the people and the planet.

Light Of Hope PH ambitious goal for 2021 is to build and deploy 500 - 1,000 Cloudgrid units, which will directly benefit 2,500 - 5,000 people and potentially offset 65,000 - 130,000 kg of CO2 emissions per year.
